Eames PKW-2 Wire Chair - Single

Original 1950s Eames PKW-2 wire chair on a maple dowel swivel base, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This scarce model features a bikini leather seat cover with a beautiful patina and lined woven fabric that remains soft and fresh. The chair showcases a stunning texture on the back, contrasting with the wire frame. The seat cover has some visible signs of abrasion, adding to its vintage charm. The maple dowel base retains original hardware, and the swivel function operates smoothly. All glides are original and present, and the chair is signed with the Herman Miller label and tax stamp. A rare collector's item, part of a set acquired from the original owner—three available. Sold individually.

Osvaldo Borsani P40 Lounge Chair for Tecno

P40 lounge chair designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno in 1955. The P40 uses a system of articulated components to move between an upright seat and a fully extended chaise. The backrest reclines through multiple positions, while a concealed leg support pivots from beneath the seat and ends in a retractable metal footrest. The exposed hardware and adjustable framework are central to the design, revealing Borsani’s interest in furniture that could respond directly to the body. Flexible steel and rubber armrests complete its unusually mechanical construction.

This vintage example is upholstered in cognac leather with a warm, developed patina. Leather looks nice overall, but has areas of wear and small tears to the seat.

A great candidate for customization. Reupholstery is available upon request for an additional charge.

Hans J. Wegner CH-25 Armchair

Oak CH-25 lounge chair, designed by Hans J. Wegner and produced by Carl Hansen & Søn, Denmark. Among Wegner’s earliest and most enduring designs, the CH25 is distinguished by its low reclining silhouette, sculptural oak frame, and extensively hand-woven paper cord seat and back. The CH25 is notable for the complexity of its woven construction, requiring hundreds of meters of paper cord applied entirely by hand. Though visually lightweight, the chair feels exceptionally solid and substantial in use. The chair reflects Wegner’s ability to reduce traditional craftsmanship to its essential forms while maintaining exceptional comfort.

This later Carl Hansen production is executed in solid oak with a natural paper cord weave. The frame features softly rounded edges, exposed joinery, tapered dowel supports, and dramatically splayed rear legs that give the chair a grounded, architectural presence from every angle. Broad paddle-form armrests are carefully shaped for comfort, while the suspended woven seat and angled backrest create a relaxed seating position with notable flexibility and support. The woven paper cord introduces a dense geometric texture that contrasts with the open profile and warm grain of the oak.

The oak frame presents with a warm, even tone and attractive patina throughout. The woven paper cord is taut and intact, showing only minor discoloration and light wear consistent with age and use. Manufacturer’s foil label affixed beneath the armrest.

Hans Wegner AT-305 Pencil Desk

An original AT-305 Drop-Leaf Desk designed by Hans J. Wegner for Andreas Tuck. The design reflects Wegner’s interest in adaptable domestic furniture, combining the function of a writing desk with the flexibility of an expanding dining or work table. Two hinged drop leaves extend the surface substantially while maintaining a compact footprint when closed, allowing the piece to function equally well in dining, studio, or office settings.

Executed in teak with softly rounded solid teak legs and edges, the desk features three integrated drawers with Wegner’s sculpted recessed pulls and finely detailed joinery throughout. The continuous teak grain across the drawer fronts and top emphasizes the restrained architectural form, while the finished back allows the piece to float cleanly within a room. Brass hinges and solid wood supports beneath the leaves reflect the careful construction characteristic of Andreas Tuck production. A highly versatile and increasingly uncommon Wegner design that functions equally well as a desk, work table, or compact dining table.

Hans J. Wegner GE1 Daybed

An original GE-1 Daybed with Ottoman designed by Hans J. Wegner for Getama, Denmark, 1950s. The design reflects Wegner’s early exploration of adaptable lounge furniture, combining a reclining daybed with a matching ottoman that extends the form into a full chaise. The sculptural solid teak frame features softly rounded edges, shaped stretchers, and an exposed blackened steel adjustment mechanism that allows the backrest to recline through multiple positions.

The matching ottoman aligns flush with the daybed to create a continuous resting surface while maintaining the visual rhythm of the frame when used separately. Original tufted cushions remain intact and retain their vibrant red-orange upholstery. Brass hinges and original canvas support straps remain present beneath the cushions, emphasizing the thoughtful construction and material quality characteristic of Wegner’s work for Getama.

An uncommon and highly architectural example from Wegner’s early production period, retaining its original ottoman, reclining hardware, and cushions.

Vintage fiberglass shells are prized for their rich color, visible fiber texture, and natural patina developed over time. Each example retains the original Herman Miller stamp underneath and dates to the 1960s.

OAM maintains a large selection of vintage Eames shell chairs in a wide range of original colors and quantities. Every shell is carefully inspected, restored, and polished to preserve the integrity of the original finish. Shockmounts are replaced as needed to ensure stability and comfort.
