Sculptural coffee table with biomorphic glass top, designed by Italian architect Pierluigi Giordani. The base consists of three tapered walnut legs joined at the center, giving the table a light and poised form. The walnut is smoothly carved and carefully joined, giving the frame a continuous, fluid profile from every angle. A substantial glass top follows a gentle biomorphic contour and is secured on brass fittings that. Giordani produced only a small body of furniture, much of it as private commissions, so surviving examples of this design are notably scarce.
