Pierluigi Giordani Biomorphic Coffee Table
Sculptural coffee table with biomorphic glass top, designed by Italian architect Pierluigi Giordani. The base consists of three tapered walnut legs joined at the center, giving the table a light and poised form. The walnut is smoothly carved and carefully joined, giving the frame a continuous, fluid profile from every angle. A substantial glass top follows a gentle biomorphic contour and is secured on brass fittings that. Giordani produced only a small body of furniture, much of it as private commissions, so surviving examples of this design are notably scarce.
Designer: Pierluigi Giordani
Manufacturer: Pierluigi Giordani
Origin: Italy
Date: Circa 1950
Dimensions: 19.75" H x 48.75" W x 23.25" D
