Peter Hvidt Tambour Cabinet
Danish Modern cabinet with two-level tambour doors, designed by Peter Hvidt & Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen for Søborg Møbelfabrik. The tambour doors slide smoothly to reveal a well-organized interior with adjustable shelving. Constructed with exceptional attention to detail, the piece features sculpted inset handles, a beveled frame, and sturdy dowel legs. Old-growth teak wood selection is particularly beautiful, with a deep, saturated tone. Originally designed as part of a modular storage system, this cabinet can be paired with other cases by the designer in our collection. In fine vintage condition, the surface has been polished, highlighting its natural luster. Denmark, 1950s.
