Pair of Paavo Tynell A1965/10202 Counterweight Ceiling Lamps for Taito Oy
Pair of model A1965/10202 counterweight ceiling lamps, designed by Paavo Tynell for Taito Oy. Originally created in 1948 for New York’s Finland House, the lamps combine precise engineering with a light, airy profile. Each polished brass shade is perforated in a star-like pattern, with etched glass diffusing the light into a soft, even glow. The counterweight system is adjusted by an elegant pulley mechanism at the canopy, with a solid brass weight that keeps the movement smooth and controlled. Presented as a matching pair, the lamps bring a warm, atmospheric light that works equally well over a dining table or in a sitting area. Each lamp and its components has been professionally polished with care and the pair presents beautifully.
