Modular wall unit, constructed in teak with brass supports, designed by Kurt Østervig for K.P. Møbler. Freestanding, the unit can be placed against a wall or function as a room divider. The two-section system is organized around three sculpted uprights, each pierced with a series of mounting points that allow the shelves and cabinets to be repositioned. Tapered legs and open shelving give the substantial unit a light, architectural profile.
The configuration includes four smaller shelves, one wide shelf, a compact cabinet, and a wide cabinet, both fitted with sliding doors and recessed pulls. The lower shelves are supported by curved brass braces, an expressive detail within the otherwise restrained construction. Retains the Østervig and K.P. Møbler label beneath the wide shelf.
