Jacob Kjær Coffee Table
Elegant cocktail table, designed and made by master Danish cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær. Constructed from solid teak, the table features a refined curved lip detail and round brass points on the tabletop. Originally designed in 1939 and produced in Kjær’s own workshop through the 1950s, this piece reflects the exceptional craftsmanship and material integrity for which he was known. Following Kjær’s passing in 1957, later iterations omitted the brass sleeves on the upper legs, making this version a more faithful representation of his original design. A beautifully preserved example, the table remains in very good vintage condition with an unblemished surface and warm patina to the wood.
