Sleek Danish Modern teak chest of drawers designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen, produced by J. Clausen Brande Møbelfabrik. The cabinet is constructed from richly saturated teak, with a well-selected grain pattern across the drawer fronts. The form is minimal and restrained, allowing the warmth and depth of color of the wood to take precedence. The piece reflects Kofod-Larsen’s background as a trained cabinetmaker, evident in the subtly beveled case edges, integrated pulls carved directly into the teak drawer fronts, and traditional joinery throughout. Four full-width drawers are fitted with inset handles and no applied hardware. The case is elevated on tapered legs with strong supports and is finished on all sides, making it suitable for free-standing placement. In very good vintage condition, with a clean birch interior. The exterior teak surface has been carefully cleaned and polished, bringing out the natural depth of the wood.
