Pair of model CH-22 armchairs, designed by Hans J. Wegner for Carl Hansen & Søn. As always with Wegner, the design merges sculpture with function—exposed joinery, sculptural braces, and generous proportions. Striking Danish white oak frame features a striking, variegated grain pattern throughout. The original woven papercord seat retains a lovely aged patina with tight structure and warm tone. An early example in very good condition. Seat may be restored upon request for an additional charge. Marked on the underside.
