Eames Time Life Stool Model B
Original Model B Time Life Stool, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. This vintage example shows the distinctive geometry of Ray Eames’s sculptural approach. Sometimes called the “chess piece,” the form alternates concave and convex volumes with a sense of balance and play. The walnut is richly figured, with a mosaic pattern across the top surface that varies uniquely in each stool. Like many original examples, it carries a fine hairline split at the seat—an authentic marker of its solid-wood construction. Cleaned and polished, the stool is in excellent condition.
