Eames 220-C ESU
Original 1st generation ESU, model 220-C storage unit, designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller. Inspired by industrial warehouse shelving, this first-generation ESU from the early 1950s features colorful lacquered panels in red, blue, and yellow, paired with black enameled steel uprights and crossed support struts. Highly customizable when originally ordered from the Herman Miller catalog, this unit includes open shelving and a bank of three natural birch drawers on the left. The birch plywood top has developed a nice warm patina. Rare and highly collectible, it is in all-original condition with incredible patina and age-appropriate wear. The piece retains its original label on the interior of one drawer.
